Hardware: Raspberry Pi Zero W, WS2812B LED matrix (8×32 pixels per panel, two in series), LDR sensor for automatic brightness adjustment, PIR motion sensor for presence detection, PCF8591 I2C module, level converter, and 5V power supply. Software in Python retrieves data from MySQL database: energy consumption, solar panel status, temperatures, weather station, doorbell activity. Web-app (PHP) for remote management. WiFi connectivity essential for NTP time synchronization and database access. Energy-saving sleep mode when no movement. Elegant combination of design, technology, and home automation integration.

Project Details

Type: Electronics & Microcontroller Project

Category: Electronics

Download Project PDF

Download Full Project PDF

Multifunctionele slimme kamerklok

This project builds a multifunctional smart room clock (12×60 cm LED matrix display) that displays time in text form and visualizes home automation data.
